Genie Lift
The AWP 20 genie lift enables us to reach the lights in the auditorium for setting and maintainance.
The controls are easy and self explanitory but the full manual is available here.
Printed operating instructions are also held in the document container in the working area of the lift itself.
The lift is classed as a MEWP (Mobile Elevated Working Platform) so there are official health and safety rules governing its use and those using it. They can found at https://www.hse.gov.uk/construction/safetytopics/mewp.htm.
The unit has to be inspected at 6 monthly intervals to ensure that it is safe.
